  8. Our icon-group news group presently is unmoderated.  This means
  9. that anything anyone posts to it goes to all subscribers.

  11. Recently commercial advertisements have been broadcast
  12. indiscriminately and have wound up in icon-group.  This problem
  13. is only going to get worse as use of Internet increases.
  14.  
  15. Moderating icon-group takes time and effort and also delays
  16. message distribution, but we may have no other choice.
  17.  
  18. Until we work something out, please try to put up with an
  19. occasional inapproproate posting.
